9500 SuperNet Applications Server is a multifunctional communications andfile server platform that has a wide range of connectivity options,gateway functions, and fileserver capabilities. 9500 SuperNet offers coaxconnectivity for control unit terminals (e.g., 317X, 327X, 347X),distributed function terminals (e.g., 3178-G, 3179-G), coax cards (e.g.,IRMA), and printers (e.g., Data Products, Centronics); ASCII/Asynchdevices (e.g., VT52, VT100, VT200); LAN connections for Ethernet andToken Ring (4/16 Mbps); WAN connections for SNA/SDLC (64 kbps); andTCP/IP. Server functions include file, print, terminal services, e-mail,TN3270, and SNA gateway. 9500 SuperNet offers interconnectivity forinternetworking while preserving installed computing and applicationsassets.
